The Fruit Bowl Is The Problem

The series“The Fruit Bowl Is The Problem”explores the entanglement of one’s childhood beliefs with new-found beliefs. The graphic fabric symbolizes the tradition of our surrounding culture and how that shapes our perception of the world from childhood. The gestural additions of paint represent how conscious development from our experiences challenge our old beliefs, thus creating new perspectives. The works express the synergistic relationship of the old and new.

Consistency In Adversity

“Consistency in Adversity” is the road to freedom. It is a notion that embodies the human condition at the exact moment where one chooses to persevere through painful processes and difficult battles, in order to achieve some type of goal in the end. It is the choice we make to continue forward, and the strength behind that choice. At the end, freedom lies not in goals achieved, but the process and the commitment required, in even the bleakest of moments, to get there.
